Math 2 - Photography Contest [15 entries]

Pound, shilling and pence Picture

Winning entry, with a score of:
69.8%
Contest goal:

2+2 = 4. We've all done mathematics in school. Some of us hate it while some of us love it.
For this contest, take a shot of what math represents to you. It might be a calculator, or a copybook containing math homework, as long as your subject is related to mathematics. Good luck!

Status: finished. Check out the winners below!

meatman: Isn't the use of buildings stretching the theme of the contest a tad ?? ( 5 years and 2482 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Yes it is. It will be considered off theme. I do have a life and will get to it. ( 5 years and 2482 days ago )
meatman: We all have lives. I said nothing about why this issue was not already addressed. I just posed the question. Sorry if you thought I was trying to ruffle your feathers. ( 5 years and 2482 days ago )
Contest Moderator: To clarify something... everyday buildings are considered off theme. Yes, it takes math to construct them... but they are not used for or have to do with math. A building that is used for something that has to do with math will be allowed. ( 5 years and 2480 days ago )
Artifakts: Well ... You cancelled an entry of mine which was a mirador also used as giant solar screen (the white triangle)... ( 5 years and 2479 days ago )

Remember that crazy Trig professor that always looked like he slept in his coat and tie for the past week. I never understood a word he said. (5 years and 2481 days ago)

N.A. : Actually I'm not that old ... But in my first year in high school, as a matter of tradition, every student learned math with a slide rule (like my father), it was abolished in favor of calculators in the next year, but I kept mine as a museum piece since then... It always amazes me how many times you go to a counter to pay for something and the people can't count the simplest change. (5 years and 2481 days ago)
