It would have been a nice shot but I think (IMHO) you over-used a "blur-tool" (or something like that) that makes your picture artificial. (and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's permitted in photo contests here)

Lovely expression and light, could use a little white balance correction, to warm it a bit, and I do wish you had used a tripod, it's just a little soft.
