Show us some beautiful portraits, taken indoors using only natural light. By portrait we mean photos of people. Reflectors can be used but no artificial light and that included candles.
jesseleduc: Your contest sucks and getting my stuff removed sucks even more you guys are lame and useless amateur photographer. having comments from un skilled photographer like your favoirite untalented Friiskiwi pisses me off. you guys just took 3 of my pic out of the contests. well have fun with your stupid useless contests. Im out of here ( 5 years and 2537 days ago )
SaHdeeQ: You have 86 contest entries and 308 votes placed - no fair play...
friiskiwi has 3363 contest entries and voted 45272 times...
as you can see there is a big difference..
she is also one of the few people here that analyzes and comments pictures... she is very accurately, thats true...
but i think it should be that way because... if we do not keep to the rules exactly, we could just start anything goes contests and forget about the rest...
maybe in your eyes we are useless, unskilled and untalented amateur photographer...
but it's also not professional when you attack other people here and you haven't proved yourself before ...
i wish you the best and good luck with your hobby, but it can only be a profit for both if such a member quits on pxleyes ( 5 years and 2537 days ago )
If one cannot take criticism, he should not criticize others.. About friiskiwi, she is giving her whole time for pxleyes and she deserves the respect for it. She's been like a mother or sister for a lot here. Other than that she is a good talent and we learn a lot from her entries and comments.
Still this is a free to all site so all sorts of views are welcome but direct attack is a big NO.
Anyways, good luck for your future, jesseleduc. May we meet you at other competitions and contests. ( 5 years and 2536 days ago )
FallingHorse: No offence, Jesse but after checking your portfolio and your 'professional' website, you still have a long way to go to become half the photographer as some of the talent on here. Good luck in your pursuits, I hope you take as much time learning the craft as you do to whinge about all us useless amateurs here ( 5 years and 2535 days ago )
karaflazz: I am proud to be an amateur....
Amateurs of the world....unite!!! ( 5 years and 2535 days ago )
iquraishi: well said karaflazz.. ( 5 years and 2535 days ago )
eco: IMHO, maybe, just maybe, it would be nice to show the rest of us the 3 pictures jesseledu claims have been removed, so we call all judge them, just a thought, you for that of being fair and all. ( 5 years and 2534 days ago )
Contest Moderator: I'm afraid we can't do that, however I can tell you, they were all of the same child, 1 photo is still in a contests and 1 had been used just over a week ago. ( 5 years and 2534 days ago )
Artifakts: Don't forget, for those who think they are perfect, professionnal and don't like criticism, there's a "comment option" when you upload a picture ... Just choose : "No comments allowed" ! ( 5 years and 2534 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: Since this is an open contest open to anyone from any part of the Universe, we should expect all sorts of view points which are very often dis-colored by lack of proficiency in language, youthful temperament, (dare I say arrogance?), cultural differences, artistic taste (or a lack thereof?), etc. Now that the World did not end on the 21st Dec, the rational thing to do is accept them as they are and move on and look forward to next week's contest. nikita61: not even a genius is allowed to be rude ...... and I do not see any genius here ( 5 years and 2532 days ago )
robvdn: Disappointments are a hard thing to swallow, sometimes it is better to take some breaths first before giving words to your disappointment. ( 5 years and 2529 days ago )

Taken inside my home. Bright large window to the left and behind.... reflector to the right but also natural light coming in from door behind camera. Was learning my new f1.4 lens. (5 years and 2536 days ago)
IMHO, it looks over-processed in Hi-Res which shouldn't need be with a f1.4 lens?
author says:
I had a second look Wayne and although I don't think I see what you see, I will make mental note. Sometimes when I am experiementing I go too far before I find balance.
Great photo, think that black and white works brilliantly. Think it was processed perfectly, as the hoodie doesn't blend into the background. Agree with the MOD though, not to fond of the expression, but everything else is top knotch.
