Take a photo of someone standing on a slope and then rotate the image so the horizon is flat and it appears the person is leaning on an angle without anything holding him or her up.
BeSea: I'm not sure that the goal is very clear here, and looking at the entries so far makes it even more confusing. I'm afraid that I don't understand the objective, especially if the horizon is supposed to be flat. ( 5 years and 2534 days ago )
Contest Moderator: This contest is not about taking a normal shot and rotating it 90 degrees. The theme is relatively clear, but the thumbnail is unfortunate as it would be off theme. Yes, some type of horizon should be seen in the shot. For example, if you took a shot of someone on (for example) a 45 degree hill it would (normally) look like the person was still vertical. Think of a tree growing on that hill. It doesn't grow straight out at a 45 degree angle - it grows "up." So we take that shot of a person standing "up" on the hill, and then rotate it 45 degrees so the horizon is straight (like the ocean). You would probably need to crop so it was still in landscape, but it would have the effect of a straight horizon (no longer at 45 degrees) and the person now leaning. ( 5 years and 2534 days ago )
friiskiwi: So we are not talking about the real horizon, but what the person is standing on? ( 5 years and 2533 days ago )
Contest Moderator: It would not have to be the "real" horizon (land, sea etc) as the theme simply specifies them standing on a "slope," but does not specify the slope needs to be part of the earth. Although, standing on an actual hill or something would be one of the easier ways to do this. ( 5 years and 2532 days ago )
Artifakts: We are friday ... due to the number(s) of entry/ies in this contest, i'm not sure the goal is so clear ... ( 5 years and 2531 days ago )
Artifakts: (thursday ... sorry) ( 5 years and 2531 days ago )
friiskiwi: There seems to be one entry that is on theme as far as the goal is concerned. ( 5 years and 2531 days ago )

This is the perfect example of what this contest requires.. Good going author, I guess people will be clear this time and the sbs just made everything much more clear.
The theme was clear to me from the beginning, I don't know why people found it very difficult, but I couldn't get a good location for the picture as I was busy with official stuff, so decided to try the above pic. (5 years and 2530 days ago)
Good job. The SBS helps others see what it was talking about.

Yes that is what my idea was for entering the contest. Would've done better if I had time. As the contest is almost at the end, I can share my idea of doing the MJ's "Anti-gravity Lean" for the contest, which I couldn't unfortunately.
Him and the 'monkey bars' being angled, and the tree with the bench actually being crooked in reality, give this image an optical illusion quality. Nice!
