One of the fascinating things about wood is the varied pattern formed by the tree rings and the angle of the cut into wood used for everything from floors to furniture to cooking implements like spoons and cutting boards, to personal adornment of shoes and jewelry. The goal: Submit your clearest, best lit, most interesting photo of something wooden, that shows the grain pattern in the wood. It can be natural, stained, or painted, so long as the wood grain pattern (the focus) is clearly visible. No people or animals allowed.
beautiful
The golden light accentuates the colour of the old driftwood. It is very grounded, however, and not adrift. Good photo.
Thank you. Yeah, but it was once adrift....lol.
Nice clarity & contrast. Makes me imagine a dragon hauling itself out of the sea.
Thank you. Yes, I see what you mean...
Congratulations on first place. A lovely photo, I love the colours.
Thank you!
My hat off to you, madam, on your 1st place
