Thanks for the thought, but I see the tree as the main focus in an empty desert setting. I may be wrong, but I believe that in this contest it is the mood of the "one" tree rather than having a big tree filling the center of the shot just to show that it is a tree.
It looks to me that the sea breeze is killing the poor thing rather than helping it. Nice in black and white.
