This tournament runs for 4 weeks, week 1 is 'open for all', which means everyone can enter. Week 2 only the top 16 members of week 1 will be able to participate, week 3 the top 8 members of week 2 and in week 4 the top 4 members of week 3. The winner of round 4 will be crowned king or queen of Pxleyes!
The final rounds winner will be awarded with bluetooth headphones!
You can choose between these (available in white or black) or these.
Week 2, 3 and 4 will be posted on Thursdays but will be opened for entries on Sundays after the previous round is closed, when the next participants are known. If you participate, be aware you might have to re-enter next rounds too!
Rounds 2, 3 and 4 will have 2 reserve players each. These will be the 2 runners up of the previous round, in the list with names who are allowed to enter their names will be followed by "(reserve 1 or 2)".
Reserves are allowed to enter their entry whenever they want BUT be aware:
if all qualified members for that round enter: ALL the entries by the reserves will by removed when the contest goes into voting. If one or two qualified members fail to enter one or two reserves are allowed to stay in the contest when the contest turns into voting.
Those removed entries will be allowed in the Mixed Media (or other fitting) contests later on.
The theme for this contest is: Glass
Take a photo of anything made of glass or a piece of glass; whether it be a bottle, sea glass, a drinking glass or some other object made of glass. Mix it up and create a still life of nothing but glass or create a unique photo of just one item.

I agree with Kyricom, nice shot but shame the reflection is not entirely shown. If the glass was too short, change your position. By placing the camera a bit higher with an adapted angle, you would have had both the bottels (the true and the reflection).

Thank you! I tried like this. The problem is that by placing the camera a higher, the end side of glass causes distortion between both sides.. So I placed the ship as close as possible to the end of the glass, but still the line is not straight. Sorry, I am not good with explanation.
Maybe it was better to crop this reflection by 1/3, so only a bit of the reflection is visible...
You capture very well the "Savana" mood here author.
The cactus tree does not fit correctly with the whole scenery(trees in savana are tall and wide on the top) but thats a minor detail.
I really like the color of the sky & the mountain on the background.
Creative thinking if you ask me.

Thank you. Unfortunately it was not possible to do. The glass is too narrow...The glass finishes exactly there, where bottom reflection is.
