Sci-fi Fantasy - Photography Contest [5 entries]
Contest goal:
We've all seen amazing things done through CGI in the movies. Monsters, traveling at light speed, amazing technology and more. Your job in this theme is to recreate some special effect we've seen in the movies, without the aid of the special effects folks. You can use any technique allowable in the photo rules, but the end result should be something that could blend in with a sci-fi or fantasy movie. No simple landscapes - some element or technique must be added by you.

Thanks. A glass canaster top hung by fishing line with a light source downward. Shot with a very slow exposure. Time did not permit, but a little smoke would have been interesting. Thanks.

Thanks. The most difficult aspect of this entry was the number of mosquito's in Florida during the raining season near standing lake water is hell. In a pitch black evening they were all drawn to the light.
