Every year the UK Natural History Museum and BBC organise "The Wildlife Photographer of the Year" competition. You can see the 2012 winners gallery here.
So the challenge is to take a photo that "shows wild plants or animals in an urban or suburban environment, with the human presence being very much part of the photo."
No zoo shots.
Required level: 15+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
kyricom: Does "human presence being very much a part of the photo" mean humans have to be in the shot, or do buildings etc. show human presence? ( 5 years and 2264 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: I would say it means "evidence" or "artifacts" of human presence, otherwise the well-worn phrase "humans allowed" would have been used? ( 5 years and 2264 days ago )
friiskiwi: Mark, people does not need to be in the photo, check the link from above;

...(after I've taken your photo, that is...), we had a weekend away and this cheeky Egret kept standing on the railings of the balconies. (5 years and 2258 days ago)
Beautiful, lovely framing of the squirrel. did it sit still for long, or did you get lucky?
He stayed there until we gave him peanuts to eat 😀
