Vases come in all sizes, take an artistic photograph of a vase, with or without flowers.
Other things can be in the photo, but a vase has to be the main object.
beautifully photographed, but are the flowers not the main subject and not the vase?

Meran,
It's a valid question, I used those flowers as the colours mirror the colours in the vase. I accept that perhaps there are more flowers than vase in the photo, but n the other hand, all of the vase is in the photograph, its sharp and clear and free from the background. I feel it more than holds it's own. I was pleased with the photo. Now I will just have to wait and see how the voters feel.
Very pretty (but the vase looks like it might be onyx - another pretty stone)
Thanks Mark, and you know a lot more about stone than I do, I will change the title. Makes for a better title too.
This is one fine looking photograph, at the high resolution it is sharp and crisp and exposure and composition are great.
Thank you,
Wonderful!
Thank you, I love that vase and just realised how old it is.my mother gave it to me for my birthdday 20 years ago.
