Status: finished. Check out the winners below!
f11: The sole lighting must be exactly a single candle? No windows, no moon, no sun, no flash, no strobe, no speedlight, no LED screen, no bulb, no nothing? Just one, and exactly one single candle? ( 5 years and 2270 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: I suppose that's what "only" means? ( 5 years and 2270 days ago )
Contest Moderator: We have had similar contests before, so I will clarify.
1. Photograph an object or person.
2. Lightsource is 1 (ONE) candle.
This is different from previous contests where more than one candle was allowed.
Photographs of the lit candle alone is off theme. ( 5 years and 2270 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: Please bear with me. Just one object? ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Nothing in the theme the way that I read it that says you can't have more than one object. ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: OK, thanks. ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
BeSea: All entries so far show the lit candle, not just using it off camera to light an object. Is this OK, or should we not show the candle in the frame? ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: If the candle is not in the frame, how would we know the only light source is the candle? ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: In any case the reference photo shows the candle? ( 5 years and 2269 days ago )
Contest Moderator: BeSea: It is OK to not have the candle in the photo, but I suggest an SBS to show the set-up, would avoid arguments.
Wayne: you should have been here long enough to know, that the thumb is often off theme. ( 5 years and 2268 days ago )

Thanks. Upon further reflection, I should have toned down the orangey / yellow cast a bit more, (as I think Karaflazz did with his winning entry), though it would still be a long way off in knocking the Grand Master off his perch
