Not sure why this would indicate minimalism
hmmmm...
...yeah. Find myself asking that about a few pieces here myself.
Minimum of lighting?
The theme had me skimming my work for what would qualify as "minimalism", and a few pieces instantly came to mind...because of my own views on what the term means (simple, surreal, often abstract and calming to the mind - Visual ambiance and the elevator music of the art world...yet profound). Shooting a new piece for the contest only became inspiring after reading the mods Wikipedia definition (a good one)... The photo is meant to not just illustrate minimalism, but force the viewer to enact it... You must zoom in to the intentionally obscured text, and it's ironic meaning. - Or, just take the title apart again... Think/thick.
