I realise many of you are heading into autumn, but down here we are heading to Spring.
So those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, find you old Spring photos, and for those of us who live down-under, get the camera out and take some photos inspired by spring.
Just about anything will be OK as long as it makes the viewers think of Spring. It might be a good idea to explain why your photo represents Spring.
Wayne Cheah: Looks like it's turning into another flower show. Is there nothing else besides flowers to indicate "Spring?" ( 5 years and 2241 days ago )
BeSea: Any suggestions as to what else would indicate "Spring", Wayne? It's a tough one to show much besides new vegetation. Baby animals could be, but not always born in spring. Spring sports, maybe. Melting ice. What else would clearly indicate spring, especially in countries without four seasons? ( 5 years and 2240 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: Well, BeSea, I live in the Tropics where we have only two seasons.....rainy or dry, (though not in equal measures), so I am not qualified to suggest anything. However my comment was not meant to be critical of the entries, so long as they are on theme, but hope to see some other images beside flowers alone, and we are not even sure whether these are actually "Spring flowers?" As the contest theme suggested...."Just about anything will be OK as long as it makes the viewers think of Spring. It might be a good idea to explain why your photo represents Spring" You have actually suggested some leading ideas already? ( 5 years and 2240 days ago )
awediot: 'Spring cleaning' comes to mind... Images of linens flapping lazily on the line...wide open doors and windows being cleaned..rugs being aired out... And browsing in open air markets. All things done in the summer, but have a "fresher" feel to them imo. ( 5 years and 2240 days ago )
Wayne Cheah: Ah Awediot...seeing that you are male, I assume you comment from a theoretical point of view? ( 5 years and 2240 days ago )
awediot: Of course Wayne. Cleaning is women's work...as is that sort of shopping (and "fairs". - This whole thread is a bit lady-like for my tastes (despite my open-minded submissions) ( 5 years and 2240 days ago )
BeSea: I'm surprised that you got away with that "women's work" comment without reprisals, you male chauvinist! ( 5 years and 2232 days ago )
