WOW - I'm so honoured!!
looking forward to using the full version of Filter Forge 6!
Di mak mak. Since I live in the land of dragons I have to say this one took my breath away. Love the point of view, looking up, noble, regal. Very lovely.
author says:
This dragon lives in Chang Mai. The filter helps him being majestic, as the original photo was not so good!
I thought he looked familiar....he he he he he. You did a nice job with it. I don't have the same filters as you do. I have one more submission ...maybe I ought to find a dragon for you. Thank you for communicating with me.
author says:
Still, you can download thousands filters in Filter Forge 6. You must click on "Filter library - Download more filters" on the up right side of the screen. I didn't see it either in the beginning.
Very nice! When I look at your SBS, I notice that you have many filters I don't have, such as "Angel wash, Button images, Abstract watercolor, Chaotic crazy paint, Artomatic"... Have you downloaded these filters separately?
author says:
Yes, you can download them from the filter forge site.
When you open filter forge, look at the top right hand corner of the screen. You will see a blue link to filter library where you can download as many filters as you want out of the thousands they have.
Oh this is so artistic and magical. When you do your filter forge steps do you have to do one layer, apply, then go out and then go back in to do the next step? I have to go out, then restart FF and try the next effect. Thank you for your time.
author says:
Yes you need to keep going in and out of the filter effects because you need to save each one before you do the next one, otherwise the second filter you use will over ride the previous one. I just keep layering the effects in photoshop and play around with blending them using various blending modes and opacities.
You are very helpful. I hope this site gives you THE MOST HELPFUL award....mind you, so far, all the people I've contacted for help have been really kind .
author says:
The mods and some members seem to help a lot of people in private. I have found them to be very helpful too. I believe in the concept of paying forward the help that I have received in the past. You are also a very helpful person.
I think this contest asks that you put up the original beside the filter forge manipulated image. If you would include the filters used that would help us all to learn. I really like the effect of peeling paint and the fact this sheep is eyeing me.
author says:
Still, I have put the setting of the filters I used in the "SBS". If you click on the SBS tab just under the photo, you will see them.
It's OK Still, the Rules are sometimes difficult to remember, to integrate and to follow! And if you are partially lobotomized, I want to have the same operation!!!
ha ha ha...Some days I amaze myself and other days I put the keys in the fridge.
I feel like giving you a review on this upload. I wish more people would do critiques. Here it goes:
The one thing with your upload that struck me was the colour palette. As carbon based bipeds we are always affected by colour, it draws emotions out. I find the colour of your work to be very soothing in muted shades of earth tones. To add a peeling paint filter which also has muted shades further supports your overall image. I like the brown frame but a bit larger thicker frame would have been nice as well. Then there is the story component...that little lamb looking up to us...this shows his fragility in this world...we are the stewards of life here on earth and we do love all "beasties" as cleary shown by your well considered upload. Wishing you luck in the contest.
author says:
Thanks Still for your kind review! I wish as well more people would do the same but you have a real, unique talent to do it. Not everybody can do that! (maybe one of the results of your partial lobotomization? 555, as you say in Thailand!)
WHAT WHAT WHAT....now how did you know that ( ha ha ha ) is 555....did I already say that somewhere or are you in Chiang Mai as well? Are you part of the Photo Group...tomorrow is our meeting. I am going to tell everyone about this site...it is great and you have just made it more mysterious and more FUN.
author says:
I have Thai friends who live in Bangkok you know, and when they post on FaceBook, it is 555 all along! And yes, I went to Chiang Mai a few years ago, loved it.
Congrats!
