I bet I could eat this whole thing in one sitting. When we come back to Canada, we will visit you when your wife makes this decadent delight. A splendid upload that is sharp and delightful to behold. I also like how you included all the surrounding information, candle, classy table setting.

ha ha ha ha.....I cannot imagine eating donkey but when we traveled through Outer Mongolia we ate horse...a soft meat and not too bad .....I think the French eat a lot of horse...non?
I like horse meat very much. It is said to be healthier than beef. I often buy some horse minced meat at the market (there are not many horse butchers left), I use to prepare it as a steak tartare, which is raw minced meat with salt, pepper, egg yalk, minced shallots, capers...
Donkey meat can be found here in dry sausages (saucissons) mixed with pork meat. But I don't find them very tasty.
And frogs as well Brian. Have a look at the reply I wrote to Still

Oh my goodness, steak tartare out of horsemeat...good grief, did you come down with some atrocious disease such as horse hairs growing out of your chin!
I didn't know that?!?!?! I wonder if Digoxin is made from this? Thank you for educating me. I like this because it looks like a painting in its softness and the bokeh highlights the flower nicely.

You are right about digoxin. This toxic plant is usually called foxgloves. The term digitalis is also used for drug preparations that contain cardiac glycosides, particularly one called digoxin, extracted from various plants of this genus.

Wonder why you shot this from behind? We want to see their expressions of joy and not their behinds. But maybe you were gunning for body expression. I think this would have been a stronger photo had a different pov been shown. Technically tho, it is sharp and clear showing their "sweat" at the Sweat, Tar and Steam show.
