Love the colour combinations here as well as the stacks of loaves. I think the shot would have been better taken 2 paces to the left so that the girl was not partially covered by the pole.
OHhhh Lordie Lordie Lordie....how we talk about bread in Poland to this day. So inexpensive and so darned good. Like everything about this shot, especially since it resurrects so many memories for me (almost did a typing error and called it mamaries....he he he h). Yes, I agree with the pole statement but it does not bother me as the majority of the girl is in the photo. I really like the colour palette of warm oranges, yellows....sort of like the bread....warm and life giving.
I slightly agree with adam on this, think its sort of divided by the pole, and had it been more about the bread and people on the left of the pole, feel it would have been stronger.

This is the same woman I took a photo of in Croatia's morning market, how cool! I like your title and the photo surely speaks of an open market. Wish she would be doing something with the onions instead of looking into a garbage bin, expressionless. Technically the image is sharp, tightly cropped but enough marginal space. Our photography teacher often would say...."Wait for the photo to be born"...I think had you waited a tad you may have shot a more interesting image. Yeah, "wait for the photo to be born"....mind you, it is presumptuous of me to say this because perhaps this was exactly what you were trying to capture, so please forgive me.

I like this one a lot it is visually very exciting. It is too bad you have some hot spots of complete blow outs but sometimes even the camera sees blows outs like our eyes do too.
