In general, a rural area or countryside is a geographic area that is located outside towns and cities.

Your job is to show us a panorama of a rural area (no sea-
and cityscapes). Buildings are allowed (low rise only) but the focus has to be on the rural area.

Zizounai: A "rural panorama", do we need a specific ratio or any format will do? ( 5 years and 635 days ago )
Contest Moderator: The definition of "panorama" is "an unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer." In our photo contests we accept the merging of shots for panoramas, but that is not the only type. Since the theme does not specify a ratio, it follows that either style would be acceptable as long as the other elements of the theme are followed. ( 5 years and 630 days ago )

Wow! Fabulous shot. What a place to live! Very dramatic composition and depth to the shot. Remote rural area captured beautifully. I love the figures 'at the edge' in every sense.
I like the sense of movement, it is a very vivid picture with
excellent perspective .What are those white spots in the distance? Other animals?Beautiful shot

Nicoletta, y'know I was thinking of cloning them out, those white spots, but left them in. I'm not sure but I think they may be huts of some kind, or coverings for plants to protect them from birds. How wonderful to receive comments from you. THANK YOU....
Love this one,i like all the elements in this, the person with the basket walking towards the bending workers,to me is the photo here,it has a nice flow to it,almost makes the sky redundant in this but does add a bit of contrast.

Thank you for saying so. I cropped down the sky as per your suggestion, but it just didn't look right so left it in.
Great shot. I love the lines - I always like lines!! The composition is very clever - the figure on the left leads the eye to follow his path into the shot and then the eye is free to move right and left along the margins of the fields so that you soak up the image and the colours. Excellent.
YIKES, I love this. I love "taking a walk with you" feel and how we get pulled into the shot. Also, very lovely are the colours and what a clever composition, you take us into that rule of 3 grid line....ahhh ahahahahah you didn't think we'd notice...excellent.
The lady with her goats set against the rural setting again shows someone with an eye for a photo, nice one this
