This is a "feeling" photograph. Some photographs sing to us, others make us taste, others make us feel. I can feel the juice of this fig running down my chin....I LOVE it...I think you captured the lusciousness beautifully, it looks juicy...YUM. Placed on a white background nothing interferes with your fig. I personally would have increased the saturation a bit more or added a vibrance, just a touch, not too much otherwise it would come out overcooked....which is something I am guilty of. Natural and nice....naturally juicy!

The patterns of pews in a church, clever you are to see this and shoot it! I think had you composed it with a closer juxtaposition to the second wooden pew marker it may have been visually more compact, but that is strictly my subjective opinion and I bow to your artistry.

You are probably right.
However I did not have my tripod with me and the church interior was not very bright and to technically capture the second wooden piece in focus would require a smaller aperture which may cause some camera shake due to a slower shutter speed as it was not a mirror-less camera.
hmmm, yes I see the challenge. You have handled it pretty well I would say. Please feel free to critique my images too, we have so much to learn from each other. Thank you.

Oh gosh, I have two of these fish, with eyes so similar hanging in my bathroom that your upload gave me a great chuckle. In photography courses the teachers will often tell you that the eyes must be in sharp focus then all other sins can be forgiven, your one eye is sharp. The point of view of this image is also good for it engages the viewer instantly. A fun shot.
