A well done stop action shot, frozen. You have this cropped tightly and that is your choice to highlight the colour orange and it works. I feel it may have had more visual punch had you given "room" for this speedboat to speed into , it would have made it a more dramatic photograph, and if you are who I think you are then I know you know this already, but if you are not who I think you are then forgive me.

OH MY....wonderful. You caught this child at the peak of exploration, had you shot a second earlier or a second later it would not have been the same image. This image clearly shows curiosity of this little girl as she explores (and thereby learns). Everything is a wonder to her and your photograph shows this aspect. If you are going to give this as a gift to the mom I would suggest you either clone out those two legs growing in the pumpkin patch just above her head or you could clone and crop down (I know this is not allowed for these contests, so this is just a suggestion). Had you stepped back a bit more you would have shot her shoes instead of amputating her legs, but you were focused on the emotional element and you succeeded completely.
