Nice moment captured, but the smoke prevents the dark areas to pop.
I put your photo into photoshop, and the histogram of the dark areas misses 24 steps before the histogram hits any black. If you had put some burning tools in the shadows, it reveals the smoke even better.

Thank you for that, I appreciate it a lot.

Hi, I just took that image back into photoshoppe and the histogram is equalized however I really appreciated your suggestion of using the burn tool to highlight the dark spots in order to bring out the smoke more. I have re-uploaded the new image which shows stronger. Again thank you. Your kind of comments is what I long for on this site.
I was a bit late with my comments. But, Your welkome. 😊

Your comments help me in the long run because I use this site to decide whether or not my images are strong enough to be considered for our annual Photo Exhibition (yeah a big deal)...so even tho on this site the photo may not do well, the comments I find are priceless....this is why I bellyache so much about the lack of reviews on the photography side of pxyleyes. Thanks again.

Good grief! Where there is smoke there is fire. Smoke well caught and the fire holds us to your image.
