Congrats Olga, how did you capture this smoke? did you light it?
I tried with some incense but was disappointed by the result so I didn't post it...

this is my husband smoking in a cafe in Japan. The original is really yellow because of an overhead light. I didn't do anything except play with levels, and contrast after changing it to monochrome.
Just so you know, we are NOT smokers but once a day we share one cigarette between us ....when traveling. We started this stupid tradition in Myanmar where we frequented the Burmese Tea Houses.....a culture in of itself...we do not do this in Chiang MAi. ayyyy yayyy you really wanted to know this huh?!
I have the same stupid tradition to smoke only when I'm travelling, and one or two at week-ends. Else, I vape when in front of my computer, which is often... This you can't do or you'll try the Thai jails

Vaping has not hit Thailand yet, although many do vape. You cannot purchase vaping stuff anywhere. I did not know it was illegal here. It is dangerous to your health...non?
It must be a zillion times less dangerous than cigarettes... if you don't use any liquid mix. And of course tobacco lobbies try to publish studies saying the opposite.

HOLY CRAP....that article is scary yet some of our photo club members vape. I would not want to be in a Thai prison EVER and it seems that the road to the prison is everywhere for small reasons given.

Goodness me. How can people stand being in all that smoke? I would be choking.

This is her life, her daily grind. She was actually cooking some gruel for a pregnant cow who gave birth while we were there and I got the shot of the newborn, it was good enough that was exhibited here during our annual photo exhibition. Thank you for stopping by with your comments, you KNOW I appreciate it very much.
Thank you for asking. This was taken in Kathmandu Nepal at the Pashupatina Temple a place of cremation as well as prayer. For your information, while a body burns on the pyre it sizzles, much like bacon in the frying pan. I was free to walk around and shoot to my heart's content, nobody stopped me, or yelled at me. Anything else you would like to know just ask.
Nasty habit, but still a good photo, and straight to the point
Thank you, do you think it would look better in black and white ?
Looks superb in black and white. I love it.
