Books have been around for centuries. They entertain us, educate us, and sometimes even spread propaganda. Enter your best shots, with a unique point of view of one or more books. Other things can be in the shot, but books need to be the focus. Good luck!

thanks Brian....I was talking to Becky last night....we were talking about you....were your ears burning!? She also does not miss TOS ....as she said "not for one nano of a second!" ha.
Self timer, huh?! I looked at this on high res and it really is a very powerful image that clearly shows the topic of book(s). You worked had at arranging this just so and it shows, for this creativity your image is top of the shelf. Just great and gave me my morning smile.
I like the solid feel to this presentation and your title is great. I would not have minded a bit more at the bottom...showing the shelf. Nice tonal contrasts shown here.

Has the shot been rotated sideways after stacking the books on top of each other? If not, how do you manage to get them to appear to be floating on different levels without anything under them to hold them in position?
author says:
Yes, a very astute observation. I simply stacked the books on their sides, snapped the shot, and rotated it 90 degrees clockwise.

Excellent choice for the 2 visible titles, I wonder what the other 2 are?
author says:
They all have two stories in them.
The brown one on the bottom is the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
The blue one on top of it is Frankenstein and Dracula.
The pink one that you can see titled Through the looking glass also has Alice in Wonderland included.
Congrats for winning
