A picture of birds does not constitute a hobby. If anything you are photographing birds and that is against the contest rules.
Bird watching is different to bird photography, this is a photo that I took whilst bird watching. Fair enough this picture may not fit what you would prefer the rules to be as you have stated above, but unless the rules are changed I believe my picture above and taking into account the fact that bird watching is a hobby of mine (and is an example in the rules) plus the rules stating the picture may include animals, I believe it does fit within the rules.
Love photographing birds too
Bird watching is indeed a hobby and one I also enjoy. As the name suggests it's more about watching than shooting, photos or otherwise. This entry represents the author's hobby of bird watching and is therefore well on theme. Nice shot too!
