I have a real interest in and passion for all birds but particularly Ducks, Magpies, Hawks and Pukeko which I rescue if need be and rehabilitate. Some of them come to me via local vets, wildlife centres and the SPCA whilst other just mysteriously turn up at our pond. Some are injured, orphaned or abandoned. The wild ducks take refuge here during duck shooting season then stay during the breeding season but come and go all year round. This is Opie one of my happy campers who arrived on our doorstep a year ago. (5 years and 3717 days ago)

Thank you Eggplant and Mellanie. As for you jawshoewhah, how about pulling your neck in and refraining from making ill mannered and unhelpful comments. If you read my description you would appreciate that this photo represents one of my hobbies and passions in life. If you can't understand that then you have a lot to learn mate.

Maybe you should look up the definition of a hobby..... mate....
The contest goal stated a "hobby or interest" If you climbed down off your high horse joeshoewhahwa you'd find the definition of "interest" is " a sense of concern with and curiosity about someone or something" or " a pastime: a diversion that occupies one's time and thoughts ( usually pleasantly). I rest my case.
