I feel you have been to timid, a bit more contrast and colour would really improve this.
I agree. Don't be shy with the controls, but at the same time, don't overdo it. One of the downsides of HDR is the images can stop looking real, and it is so easy to do that.
Thanks for your comments. But one of the reasons I took this shot was the "lack" of color. It's pretty typical coloration for that time of year around here.
