I can see what you're saying about cropping it. It looks like too much dark, but it's hard to appreciate the light without it.
Taken many a photo of glasgow uni but never at night... will have to try it now ! ... I think the photo is great as it is ... the dark leads you into the image to the tower and the lovely colours in the sky...............very nice shot.
