Nice capture here but i have some suggestions to make.Merilyn in most of her photos wears simple / elegant jewellery. Her simple dress code & entire beauty was enough.I think that your model wears too much in this photo. Her left arm does not flatter the pose & makes her hair fall on her face hiding it.The look in her eyes is kinda "boring".The couch & the dress are excellent choice & so is the glass your model holds. She is beautiful, blond but the whole pose/attitude does not work (imho of course). That's that author & i wish you good luck!!!
While I agree with Karaflazz about the model's attire not fitting Marilyn exactly, it could also symbolize the dark side of Ms. Monroe that was kept out of the public's eye. It could also be a more modern interpretation of what Marilyn would be like were she alive in today's world. Still, I gotta say I concur fully about the arm; it does not flatter her.
That said, I think your use of the leopard print bedspread and champagne glass really work with this piece. The tones are well developed and I don't notice any highlight clipping at all (a challenge with such a pale skinned model). Very nice work, author!
Thanks... I think.
lol I meant that as a compliment, so you're welcome.
this was basically a candid, me just taking a break and sipping some wine, glad people like my dress ( i thought it was perfect), sofa covering (cheetah), champagne glass. this was really an unaware moment on my part. (needed a break after posing i think i ran and had a smokerette too). And yes I did add a spiked collar to the mix, I think Marilyn would have too if she had one, but remember diamonds are always a girls best friend!
i hope it's okay if i post as a model, and i sooooo appreciate and need direction in posing
Thank you luvs!
Decided to make a profile, I see?
I agree that Marilyn typically wore very minimal jewelry, which was fairly standard for the time period. And I really don't see her in studded dog collars.
Cool shot...gl author
Yes, I know the out fit doesn't help and neither does the lip ring. I should have better thought out her wardrobe, I'm sure. It more Madonna/Cindy Lauper with all the jewelry, myself. I guess was enchanted by the pose and the wine glass and her look more than anything.
Thanks for all the comments!
