I'll never look at oranges the same way again. Great work, author, and nice job resisting the urge to center the subject in the frame (sometimes having it off to one side or the other really helps to "make" a photo...as in this example). All the best!

I don't understand, my photo was removed because of banal comment Although the sugar cubes are arranged in a pyramid, they still appear as sugar cubes quite clearly...

So, Although the orange are arranged in a bike and sun, it still appears as orange quite clearly...

it's a pity that ur work was removed, if the same happened to me i would also be disappointed, from ur comment i did not get which photo was urs, but let me try to tell u how i understand the contest guides:
the task is to make an object (in our cases sugar cubes or oranges) appear as smth else, SEEM to be smth else. it does not say, that it should be not possible to guess what objects were used. and that's understandable, cause u see everything very quick and recognize an orange, a sponge or a sugar cube, but for example my mother-in-law would not see that at once so, the task is fulfilled ...
the photo with the sugar cubes was removed, some other were also removed, i think cause of a number of reasons: or it did not meet the rules, tasks which i have just explained above, or it did not have the sbs (step by step) guide. maybe ur photo had the same fate.
maybe u can write a message to the moderator of the contest or create a sbs for ur photo and upload the photo again ...
