Don't know what this old container originally held. There is nothing on the bottom of the tin, just the number 57 on each side. It's rather large, about 10" x 12".

What a beautiful box.
Thank you! This was found in my father-in-laws garage when he passed away and I just found it in mine. I am going to do so serious cleaning on it and display it properly. Now, if I could only figure out what it originally boxed.
