The Lee Plaza Hotel was an art-deco style hotel built in the 20's when hotels were becoming a fashionable trend.
The hotel finally closed it's doors in the early 1990's and has sat vacant for almost 20 years. I had the pleasure today to visit this beautiful structure with two adventurous friends. Just a quick climb in through an access panel, into musty ventilation room, and through a flooded basement and we were transported to another time.
The Lee Plaza will come down one day, and for the most part the world will be ignorant of its loss.
Most of the people who knew it when it was worth saving will be long gone,
and it is simply too hard for the rest to mourn one more building
in an entire metropolis of crumbling monuments.
But I will be able to say I saw her before she passed. (5 years and 3160 days ago)

Thanks for the explanation, what an amazing place, hope you took many more photos. Usually I don't like crocker photos, but the angle is perfect for this photo. Well done.
Thankyou friiskiwi, i do indeed have more that I'm sure will pop up in later contests. And since my two friends are also members I know you'll be seeing thiers as well. Thanks for your input on the shot being skewed, I normally like to keep things like this straight but I thought I'd take a chance with this one
