I think it would have been better if we could actually see her sitting on the stairs, that way it would look like it belonged. IMO
I have that shot too, Friiskiwi, but I chose this one so you could see the doll's face better (not to mention the cord wrapped around its neck). I may change it to the other shot later today if enough people feel it would work better for this contest. Thanks!
I'm assuming that background is the steps she was on. I think I'd agree that pulling back a little would enable the shot to tell more of a story

I debated on commenting...................heck I'm going to do it anyway. As much as I like this photo, I believe there wasn't enough of the background showing "Derelict buildings ..... images of old falling down properties"
