Last night I went out to get photos for this contest and had a hard time because either people got upset because they thought I was with the newspaper trying to get pictures of them at the bar, or they just didn't seem natural. Tonight, in a different town, I stood farther back and zoomed in more so I was a little more inconspicuous. After 10 minutes or so, this guy walks up to me and asks me what I was taking pictures for. I gladly told him for contest at a site called pxleyes. He went on to explain that he was taking photos for the event across the street and saw me "over there" taking pictures and was curious. After our conversation, he shook my hand and then went over to take a cigarrette break and that is when I got this picture. Thanks fellow photographer! And we just might have a new pxl member soon if he checks pxleyes out like I suggested he do. (5 years and 3123 days ago)

Cool story, I hope we'll get a new member! nice photo btw.
Looks so much better in High Res. check it out.
THANK YOU FRIISKIWI! Seems all of my photos look blurry in this view The high resolution in almost ALL of my photos are so much better than this smaller version for some reason! I wonder why that happens?
It seems to happen to all photos, just more obvious in some, and I guess you really notice it in your own as you know what they should look like. The ones here are only 600pixles on the largest side.
This is the reason I'm such a nag about uploading a higher res image.
Shy subjects are certainly a problem. I recently shot a festival that included some traveling carnival game outfits. They scrambled when they saw my camera. Probably wanted in several states
ha ha ha that's funny Remsphoto! Yes they probably were Now that the contest is over, I can say why people were getting mad. I was in Midland taking pictures at the bars and people were yelling at me from across the street because there actually is a controversy over the smoking here. She was spouting out something thinking I was from the Midland newspaper and was not happy.
Howdie stranger!
