This pictures was actually created out of 2 different pictures just a couple of inches taken away from each other, because from what I understand that is what this contest is about :)
Any suggestions welcome. (5 years and 3259 days ago)

This appears to be the same image cropped two different ways, there is no perspective change at all and one side matches the other perfectly when the two are aligned. It is viewable as a stereograph but being that it is the same image there is zero depth.
So you suggest taking new pictures and try to get the perspective a bit different?

I think I'll give that a try. Thank you for your comment.
And by the way. They were actually 2 pictures, taking from the same position, as I said I just slightly shifted them.
But I guess I understand your point quiet well. I'll try to get a better shot
To get the 3D effect you take a photo and then move the camera like an inch or 2 to the right or left and try to take a similar shot as your first photo. The 3D effect only works if theres 2 similar but different photos. If they are identical (even if you just cropped them) your eyes will just merge them back together and it'll produce the 2D original photo rather than a 3D shot.
Author, take a shot with all your weight on your left foot, then take the same shot, without moving your camera from your face, but instead, shift all your weight to your right foot. This gives enough 'shift' in the images to effect a good stereo image.
Thank you very much for all your suggestions. I will try my best to get a new shot as soon as my schedule allows it. I will raise the flag for this and ask the mods to remove this entry for me, to prevent any further votes until I have a better picture
yeah, when i look at this and i cross my eyes, it remains looking flat, not 3D... (i feel silly asking this) are you sure you took 2 pictures, and if you did, are you sure you didnt just use one of them and shift it??? theres nothing 3D here
