Well, you can tell it's not American. Nice one
What's not American, kyri? The leaf or the... professor? Thanks for stopping bye.
The publication: in American English, the plural of "Leaf" is "Leaves," not "Leafs." Plus, it would be "Botany," in American English, not "Botanology."
OK, kyri, first things first. 1. There isn't such a book as ALL ABOUT LEAFS, or LEAVES, if you may. This whole thing I invented myself, as I couldn't find anything relevant in my library, or at least with space enough for the leaf to fit in. As for the word leaf in the plural, you are more than right, but never forget that I am no native speaker of the language, therefore mistakes, gross or minor, come with the territory.
2. As for the term BOTANOLOGY, it would appear that it is not foreign to the English language .http://www.biology-online.org/dictionary/Botanology.
Good job making it look like a book cover! I wasn't trying to correct you, just pointing out a difference between American and British English. Both are equally correct, of course. Same thing with "Botanology." It is absolutely a word, you just don't see it in American English very often. Lots of differences. They're hard to keep track of. For example, in American English, punctuation goes INSIDE quotation marks, but outside in British English. *shrug* I'm just extremely jealous of people who speak more than one language at all. I, like most Americans, speak only the one.
Kyri, please do feel free to correct me anytime you feel you have a good reason for doing so. Sent you a pm. explaining everything.
