These pictures are of the Pumping Station Covered Bridge, Greenfield, MA. One was taken last fall and the other was taken yesterday after the damage from Hurricane Irene. Sadly, I believe the Covered Bridge will be removed, hopefully to be rebuilt. (5 years and 3039 days ago)

Covered bridges are disappearing more and more, hopefully it will be rebuilt as it was originally constructed, and not a more modern replacement.

This bridge was actually a rebuild that was done in the 70's based on the original. The original was either unsafe or burned..can't recall which, but the rebuilt it. A favorite spot for many people in the area.
