Of-course I’m not expecting to reap any photographic laurels with this one, but I somehow feel emotionally attached to it, as I bought it ages ago from a state-run antiques shop in Canton, China –oh yes, Chairman Mao was still alive and ticking!! Curved on a square piece of redish wood, it looked wonderfully dull color-wise and ancient, something which apparently didn’t sit all that well with the lady I was living with at the time, so she had it lacquered, silly you-know-what. I did try to shoot it from different angles, but my efforts hardly paid any dividends, because it was coming out too dark and blurry. (5 years and 3010 days ago)

thanks for the very interesting tale. You will probably find that it's one of those things that would have been worth a fortune, unpolished. I like the B/W effect.
Yes, friiski, and to think that, when I bought it, I was also given a certificate of authenticity as to its oldness!!!!
