BEAUTIFULLY DONE !!!
Beautiful....but how did you do this.? wow!!!!!
not an easy one really..first i set my dslr shutter speed for 1/3 sec in manual mode, center focus with a timer..rest the camera on both of your palm then toss it (need skill) ..but not too high.
So how is it that the center is in focus but the rest has a "swirl" to it???
@captgeo: its the way how you toss your camera..give it a try than you know how.
amazing
Sorry to say but I don't believe this is the real deal, impossible shot yet really simple to do in Photoshop. The lack of any blurr what so ever in the center is a dead give away!
Nice photo though
Have to agree. Tried to do this tossing my camera. The only way I got similar results was to walk in a circle while holding my camera. Great idea and shot though.
You say at 1/3 sec? it is hard enough to get focus on something hand held let alone toss it and be able to get your subject (the head) perfect in the middle of the swirl.
First of all there is no jibba jabba with this photo..its all about skills, knowledge and effort...if you guys haven't try to toss your camera i don't know what to say honestly. Do you think i tossed my camera only once or just spent 2 minutes to catch this photo. NO! before i go out and decide to toss my camera, i read and studied about camera tossing technique on internet. YES! THE INTERNET people...!

Author....thank you for explaining how you did it....and I am in awe of your skill and talent with the camera time and time again!!!!
@captgeo: the word 'HARD' from your previous comment only happened if i don't try HARD enough.
@whimsicalb: you nearly there..try to rest your camera on both of your palms (lens facing the ground). remember to set the timer and toss it gently (spin the camera)...i don't how to put this thing clearly in words but hopefully you'll get the idea.
As it's easy to recoginise the child, we know who the author is, and don't believe this author would cheat, a couple of failed photos in the SBS coud have helped.
