Brighton, East Sussex, England
Began being built in 1787 as a seaside retreat for George, the Prince of Wales (later George IV). It would later continue to be used as a royal retreat until about 1845 when Queen Victoria (who disliked Brighton's lack of privacy) had her last visit.
