Should I take this as a joke? For what is worth, the tray RESTS ON A SMOKED GLASS TOP TABLE, which in its turn is supported by its four good legs that securely touch on the floor

I would lover the tray a little, I think what Wayne was talking about, it's usually doesn't feel right when there is more space below the subject than above the subject.
