Thanks for the comments, As to how I did it, coloured water in a bag with a small hole above a plate of milk, and then lots and lots of tries, with the milk gradually getting more and more blue, with a nice marble pattern as the only movement in the milk was the drops falling.
That's going to be my next project

Usually I use an off camera flash, but for this one I used the on-camera flash.
