The implementation wasn’t very complicated: I melt an old clock made of plastic, heating it in the middle and bottom. Then I glued a bit of sand in the bottom. I made a cardboard box slightly smaller than the diameter of the clock and glued it in the back of the clock. I made a hole along the bottom of the box and filled with sand. I picked up the clock taking the hole up. When I was ready to take the picture with the remote I lowered my hand letting the sand going out from the box. I used a black background. The light was natural. (5 years and 2375 days ago)

Amazing result, composition, choice of B&W, a long exposure that soften the falling sand, and obviously all the work that has been done to get this amazing picture. In my opinion a square frame might have worked better, most arm area is useless to the image. Anyway, it is one of my favs, great job author.

Thank you for your comment.
10 upon 10.
yup awesome! I agree with cropping a bit more too. But all in all Fantastic!
That's a GREAT shot. Is that an actual clock? (if you look at it in high res magnifies the hands look painted/printed on and a couple of other places don't really look melted).
The watch is true. The hands have been dismantled and melted on the case, to let them remain fixed on 10.10. The clock had the numbers printed on the plastic. The edge of the clock has been cut. I hope I have dispelled your doubts. THanks for your comment.
There's nothing that says it would have to be a real clock. As long as the ,elting wasn't Photoshopped you can make a melting clock how you'd like. It's a really nice shot.
