Sounds dangerous
Yes. It can be but the individuals who use the ether normally know how much to use or not use. Too much applied can cause a big fire and unwanted problems.

Ether is widely used around the world with a variety of common uses. China is the biggest user. Ether has several forms and the most common is Dimethyl ether DME. It is an additive to race car fuel, refrigerants, treating warts, and freezer spray among other things. It can be aerosolized as in this case. Many farm workers and other outside workers always carry a can or two with them for starting cold engines in machines and in this case inflating a flat tire which had been patched.
