Summer before last, we had a freak infestation of "June bugs" in our yard...and on our house, and in our windows... They don't bite, and "stink" is mostly a defensive mechanism against birds and other critters who'd love to make a meal of them. As such, they can swarm, and pile undisturbed... The bright red ones are juveniles... The adults are fast, prickly and alone no problem. But en mass, even butterflies would get creepy and pesty... Glad their numbers were back to normal this year. Interesting bugs, IMO the image would be better if a little darker.
Quite right... I had a couple versions and must've uploaded a wrong one. Thanks for the advice...[changed]
