Interesting idea. The big black blob takes away from the overall effect, but very creative.
The big black blob is the camera, which allows for the infinite glory of the subject...who must endlessly pose before it... Pride can never be ultimately self-consuming, as it is based on gaining and holding the attention of others... "ME!" in reality is "Me?"...and some big, black blob must reply, "yes...you.", however distracting it is...
