interesting shot, although I'm not sure why it connotes spring
Well I am not sure either why sheep, ducks or squirrels connote to spring as you can see sheep & squirrels everywhere in all seasons. However I guess as the title says ''anything that relates to spring''..
I took my shot during a friend's wedding at the beginning of May in Italy, where it reflects the beautiful spring blossoms hanging over the boat house wall, the clear lake water and its colour due to sun's reflection, green ivy etc..It does not say ''Hello, I am spring'' but for me, if you look at the pic it should give you a hint of a lovelyl season..Its not winter thats for sure
Goal states:
Just about anything will be OK as long as it makes the viewers think of Spring. It might be a good idea to explain why your photo represents Spring.
The theme was to photograph something representing spring.
Yes sheep are everywhere, but lambs only in spring. The squirrel was chewing on leaves that were obvious spring growth.

I can't see any reason to change the image, I just suggest you put some of your above answer in the description as not everybody reads comments.
