wow.. an incredibly well decorated little church...nice shot... Where is it?
Thanks Megan
This is named the "Golden Chapel". It's located in the Annunziata Church in Gaeta, Italy.
Given a 15mm shot, perhaps a more spectacular view of the ceiling could be obtained if the camera is placed much nearer to the floor and tilted upwards a little?
Thanks Wayne, you're right
Next time I go there I'll try.
Keep in mind, though, that with a wide angle lens, the minute that you tilt upwards or downwards and do not have the camera on the same plane as your eye, the lines begin to converge more and more at the edges. Sometimes you want this effect, sometimes you don't.
....yes, that was why I said "nearer to the floor", not on the floor and "tilted upwards a little", meaning not too much?
Thanks BeSea and Wayne for your precious advice, I'll surely try as soon as I get a chance.
