Known as the city of seven hills, everything seems either up or down. Funicular railway transportation makes some of the uphill climbs much easier. See the same shot minus the pole in the SBS below. Looking for opinions, please. (5 years and 1534 days ago)
Well suited for B/W treatment and nicely done.
I do find the tree/pole at the left to add nothing to the image and is a un-necessary distraction to the viewer. Cropping this out would improve the overall composition. (IMHO of course).
Good luck, Author
Thanks for the feedback. I debated on that as well, but in the end, I thought that the pole added some depth and perspective to the image. I am curious to ask what others think? Pole or no pole? I will ponder. Thanks, really. Love honest feedback.
I never knew Lisbon had such steep streets. Almost looks like San Fransisco. Nice shot. (I think I like it with the pole. Without it, it would look more like a snapshot)
Thanks for your opinion, kyricom. Appreciated.
I like this photo. However, agree with the 1st comment from MyMindsEye regardng the tree/pole.
That's what I love about photography. Everybody sees things differently. So far, two for the pole, two for no pole. Thanks.
Another one against the pole here!
I think it looks nicer with it.
But pole or not: great shot author!
Good luck
