I love figs. Author what are the fruit on the right with the funny cross in the middle, and what do they taste like?
They are Feijoas. They have quite a perfumed taste, Personally I don't like them but my family do. They are really easy to grow here, and are often used for hedges. Here you can even get them in chocolate and icecream. Originally from South America introduced to NZ in 1920. In some places they are called Pineapple guava.
