I really like the bokeh applied to this image. Keeping the eyes sharp draws us into his world and the background reminds us of his environment. It is important to capture soul and you have done this beautifully. Your crop and compositional style is well thought out...it is tight at the top but it matters naught because you do have "soul" and that is what matters most. Nice contrast, natural hues. Very delightful view.
