You are up early? 5:15 a.m. and I would rather be warm in bed under many comforters. You caught a bit of a "sundog" (that's what we call them in Canada's north country). I really like the story of this image, not only a sunrise, but a sunrise giving us much to chew on. I do wish you had put up in your notes about where this was taken. Where are you going? Why are you going there? Top notch work here.............as always.
Thank you Olga for your comments. I took this image when I was on my usual 30 days shift in the oil field. It's usual time for going from the camp to the rig site
Some years ago there were few joint ventures with Russians and Canadians here in this region. That was a good time to work with guys from Canada. We often sow "sundogs" here. I have lots of sundog pics. BTW, few days ago we had sundog, but I did not grab my camera.
So the dog got away
Did you know about the island in the Arctic where Denmark and Canada are at odds as to whom it belongs to? The Danes claim it as their own because of it's proximity to Greenland and Canadians claim it as theirs. So, on a regular basis, the Danes come over and remove the Canadian Flag, put up the Danish flad and leave behind a bottle of Schnapps. Then the Canadians come around, remove the Danish flag, put up the Canadian one and leave a bottle of Canadian whiskey. Now THAT is the way to fight a battle!

AFAIK, there was a proposal made to make the Hans island with shared sovereignty under two flags (and two bottles) 
I wish all disputes would end like this
